You have the chance to dine with Mesa's iconic neon sign, the Diving Lady. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Fiesta Mall parking lot, there will be a fundraiser catered by Waldo's Barbecue with proceeds going toward the sign's restoration costs. And, you'll be able to see the repaired sign in the former Victoria's Secret lingerie store on the mall's second floor.
The 50-year-old sign fronted the Starlite Motel in east Mesa, but was heavily damaged in a fall during a severe thunderstorm. It's scheduled to be re-dedicated in October.
Barbecue tickets cost $35 in advance and $40 at the door.
