Gas prices across Arizona continue to drop, with East Valley motorists seeing an approximately 50-cent drop compared with November 2012 prices.
In East Valley communities — encompassing Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Ahwatukee, Apache Junction and Queen Creek — the average price for a gallon of gas is $3.097, which represents a drop of more than 3 cents from last week and 11 cents from October, according to AAA Arizona. In November 2012, the average price in the East Valley was $3.545.
The statewide average decreased 3.6 cents this week to $3.194 per gallon, while the national average dropped nearly 6 cents to $3.22 per gallon. Peoria has the lowest average price in the state at $3.093, while Flagstaff is the most expensive at an average of $3.461 a gallon.
