Mesa is a suburb of Phoenix, I can't believe anyone whould be so stupidly proud of this dump of a city to call it anything else...
On another note, this guy was clearly pushed to the limit by a ridiculous judicial system and a culture of sue, sue and sue some more. The only good news to come out of this tragedy is one psycho nutjob and a bottom-feeding lawyer are gone.

While I believe all life is valuable. I wish these nuts would commit suicide rather than kill people first. Obviously this fool was irrational, but did he think shooting people meant that he won? Anything that the Obama Administration is doing going to stop this?

Carolyn, Mesa is about as suburb as anything gets, anywhere. Get over yourself. If you knew what words meant you would know that it doesn't have to touch or be dependent or be small.

Another Comment - this one to the author of the article: Mesa is NOT a "suburb" of Phoenix. It does not touch Phoenix at any point, as do Scottsdale, Tempe, and Chandler. Mesa is completel independent of Phoenix and is the THIRD LARGEST CITY IN ARIZONA - half a millon people. Anyone who refers to Mesa as a Phoenx "suburb" simply does not know anythng about Arizona, its cities, or its history - in this case, the Associated Press.

There is a big difference between a "mediation" and a "settlement conference." There is no one acting as a judge/mediator at a settlement conference. Hamon was stupid to represent himself. Not only that, when he bid on the job, it's probable that he underbid the cost of doing the work - and he should have returned much of the money. Sounds like another old f**t with anger management problem - one of those whose out-of-control temper/personality causes them to think a GUN is how to solve a problem. Laws, settlement conferences, mediations, and trials are in place for a reason - to get things settled without resorting to violence. I feel sorry for Harmon's family, as well as the family of the TRUE victims. But I'll bet anthing that Harmon's family, when they heard of the shooting incident in Phoenix, realized that "dad finally went too far." Harmon, from what I have read and head, DID have anger issues - and should NOT have had a gun.
