Mesa United Way hopes you'll cool off at the mall with Mrs. Claus on Thursday while helping kids in need.

Bring new or gently used children’s clothing, toys or gift cards to Superstition Springs Center and meet Mrs. Claus between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Kids Club in the JCPenney Court. Donors will receive a free gift.

The event is part of the mall’s Christmas in July Donation Drive benefiting Helen’s Hope Chest, Mesa United Way’s clothing, school supplies and toy bank for foster children.

Items being sought include: children’s and teens’ new and gently used clothing and shoes; new underwear and socks; diapers and other baby supplies; shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste and other new hygiene products; new and gently used toys; gift cards.

Donated items also can be dropped off anytime the mall is open through the end of July at Guest Services or any Thursday at the Kids Club.
