On Monday , Mesa will launch its annual water campaign, officially known as the “Hydration Donation Campaign.”

Mesa teams up with nonprofits to provide water to the homeless. Last year, the campaign, in its second year, netted 62,000 water bottles through donations. Residents can donate water at various drop-off locations, including the Mesa Fire Department Volunteer Center at 2830 E. Adobe St. A round-the-clock drop-off site will be set up in the parking lot.

Other locations are United Food Bank, 358 E. Javelina Ave., Paz de Cristo, 424 W. Broadway Road and City of Grace Church, 655 E. University Drive. The campaign runs until Aug. 28.

For more information, call Mesa human services program coordinator Lisa Wilson at (480) 644-5831 or e-mail lisa.wilson@mesaaz.gov.
