The Metropolitan Youth Symphony will hold auditions for string, wind, brass and percussion instruments in preparation for its 32nd season.

The auditions, scheduled for Aug. 20 and Aug. 21 at Dobson High School, will fill spots in the organization’s four orchestras — string, wind, brass and percussion — for musicians in their early elementary years up through ninth grade. Musicians who earn a spot in one of the four orchestras will perform at three formal concerts and two recitals at the Ikeda Theater at the Mesa Arts Center, as well as a Holiday Pops Concert at the Mesa Hilton.

Dobson High School is 1501 W. Guadalupe Road in Mesa. Visit azmys.org for additional information or to apply for the Metropolitan Youth Symphony.
