Nearly 1,000 participants joined together Saturday at Mesa’s Red Mountain High School for the annual Relay for Life event to defeat cancer.
The school hosted 90 teams consisting of 954 participants who met to remember victims of cancer and raise more than $56,000.
The evening included a luminary display, which was done in memory of those who have passed away.
