A man has suffered multiple injuries after falling from a cliff at Saguaro Lake, about 20 miles northeast of Mesa.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says the 19-year-old man slipped while climbing up a cliff Tuesday morning.
Sgt. Brandon Jones says the man fell about 20 feet before hitting a cliff shelf and subsequently fell another 30 feet. Paramedics transported him to a Scottsdale hospital.
Authorities believe the man sustained injuries to his head, ankle and back.
Saguaro Lake is located within the Tonto National Forest, just outside of Mesa. The area is popular for boating, fishing, hiking and water activities.

What a surprise! Another drunk(?) young guy gets hurt on a Saguaro Lake cliff.
This has NEVER happened before.
Only on every holiday since they built the lake and many many weekends.
Young guys seem to think jumping off cliffs into the lake will make their girlfriend decide it's mating time.
They build fences to keep dumb cattle from wandering onto the roads and getting hurt ... but they can't see a need to fence off the cliffs?
Or maybe they should dynamite the cliffs so there is only a slope into the water.
Hmm there is a bombing range in southern Arizona ... why not close the lake for a week and let the Navy pilots bomb those cliffs and make them go away?
Give the pilots some better practice and remove a temptation for stoopid doods and get something for our tax dollars all rolled into one idea!!
