Mesa Youth Sports is partnering with the Chicago Cubs to host a free MLB Pitch, Hit and Run competition on March 5. The event is free to the public and starts at 6:15 p.m.

Participants aged seven to 14 will compete in pitching accuracy, hitting distance and quickness on the base. Chicago Cubs players will be there to meet and cheer on the kids.

The winners in each division will receive two tickets to the March 9 game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Additional tickets to the game can be purchased at www.cubs.com or the Cubs Park box office. Registration for the competition is available onsite at 5 p.m. or online at www.mlb.com/phr. All participants must submit a City of Mesa waiver signed by a parent.

For more information on the competition, visit www.mesaaz.gov/youthsports.
