Police arrested two people who fled from a stolen truck and hid in a storage shed behind a home.

Daniel Lee Yard, 31, and Kally Ann Stamper, 20, were arrested about 2 a.m. Friday on suspicion of fleeing from law enforcement and theft-related offenses after police used a helicopter to help apprehend the pair near University Drive and Recker Road, police said.

The Ford F-250 pickup truck police say Yard was driving eventually stopped in a neighborhood near that intersection, and he and Stamper jumped over backyard fences in an attempt get away, according to police. They were located by officers and canines in a backyard shed in the 6100 block of East Casper, police said.

Items from other thefts were discovered in the back of the truck, police said.
