The Arizona Curriculum Theater (ACT Inc.) will perform a dramatic reading of John Steinbeck’s American novel “The Grapes of Wrath” at 2 p.m. Monday the Red Mountain Library, 635 N. Power Road.

The reading of chapters one and 25 will include digital images from the dust bowl, migrant farmers and the California agriculture where the story takes place.

Steinbeck’s novel is set during the Great Depression, and follows the Joads family as they struggle for work during a changing financial and agricultural climate.

The reading is made possible through The Big Read, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts.
