Sequoia Charter School is hoping to enhance to health of their students and the community with four events it will host during April.
On April 16 at 7 a.m., students and family will walk or ride their bike to school as part of a national event. Students will meet at the corner of Horne Street and Southern Avenue and walk to school. The school will also host a health fair for the community on April 17 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. People who attend will receive free dental, vision and blood pressure screening. There will also be presentations and giveaways.
There is also a Family Fun Night on April 24 and May 9 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be volleyball, capture the flag, Frisbee, freeze tag and many other fun events.
Sequoia is located at 1460 S. Horne in Mesa.
