Mesa police are seeking additional victims in a case where they say a man has prayed on the trust of business owners to fraudulently obtain money.

The suspect would call local business owners claiming to be with a supporting business and needing the help with a family member who has been stranded and needs either cash for a tow company or auto mechanic that is waiting payment. The suspect then sets up a cash exchange and the business owners later find out that the man has no ties to their business. The man seems to know the daily operations of the businesses he calls, and police say he operates in a very professional manner.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot to 6-foot-3, 180-pound, white male in his late 30s or early 40s, with a thin build and blnde or red hair. He often wears a baseball cap when meeting victims.

Those with information can contact Detective Beutel #13571 at the Superstition Patrol Division at (480) 644–3303.
