The City of Mesa’s hydration donation campaign is still collecting bottles of water to keep homeless and unsheltered people hydrated throughout the summer.
According to a press release, the city has received thousands of bottles of water already, but needs more to make it through the final eight weeks of summer and the triple-digit temperatures it brings. The goal is to collect 375,000 bottles of water before the drive concludes on Sept. 13.
The city has a number of drop-off points set up at municipal buildings and businesses across the city, some of which offer special deals for people who bring donations with them. Golfland SunSplash, located at 155 W. Hampton Ave., for example, offers one free admission with the purchase of a general admission ticket to people who bring a case of water to donate on July 24 or July 31.
