The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency named Mesa councilman Dave Richins to the Local Government Advisory Council (LGCA). He will serve a one-year term on the committee, which is made up of elected officials from around the country.
The committee offers recommendations to the EPA in developing partnerships with states as they develop environmental services and programs.

Poor Mesa City Councilman Richins won't know how to act at these Committee Meetings. The good Councilman has become so used to Mayor Scott Smith "clarifying" his questions and comments before they are even out of his mouth in Mesa City Hall Meetings that he will probably not say a peep the first couple of these Committee Meetings, afraid that Mayor Smith might jump out from behind a plant or from under the table.....lol. There won't be anyone at the Committee Meetings to say things like "what Councilman Richins really meant to say, etc"........[wink]
