Mesa parents interested in signing up their children to hone their basketball skills have an opportunity to do so through the city’s upcoming skills camps.

Sponsored by the Mesa Youth Basketball program, the skills clinics will feature fundamentals and 3-on-3 scrimmages for $80 per participant, although people who register and pay online receive $10 in savings.

The camps will be conducted at Fremont Junior High School, located at 101 N. Power Road, and Stapley Junior High School, located at 3250 E. Hermosa Vista Drive. The camps at the former run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from Sept. 9 through Oct. 25, while the camps at Stapley are on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. All of the sessions are held in the evenings during the weekdays and in the early afternoon on the weekends. For more information, or to register, visit mesayouthbasketball.com.
