The Mesa Chamber of Commerce will hold a workshop Wednesday on how businesses can manage during light-rail construction when work begins next year on a 3-mile extension.
The chamber is inviting businesses on or near Main Street, where the extension will be built from Sycamore to east of Mesa Drive.
The event will include advice from business owners who endured construction on the existing 20-mile line, as well as tips on what went right, what went wrong and what they would have done differently.
Metro executives will introduce themselves at the forum, and business assistance plans will be presented.
The free event is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the East Valley Institute of Technology, in the Health Sciences Auditorium, 1601 E. Main St. For more information, call (480) 969-1307.
