Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) will have a “Spring into Adoption” event March 29, 30 and 31 at the all MCACC locations.

The “Spring into Adoption” event will have a special adoption prices of $17 for shelter dogs and puppies. All cats and kittens will have a no-cost adoption fee.

If you are unsure about adopting a pet, please feel free to ask about our foster program. This is another avenue MCACC utilizes to help get our animals out of the shelter and into good, temporary homes until they are ready to be adopted.

Dogs over the age of three months will be licensed. Each one of our adoptable dogs and cats are spayed or neutered and given age appropriate vaccinations.

Microchips are available for only $25.

Andy Kunasek, chairman of the Board of Supervisors, asks people to consider adopting a shelter animal. “Share the value of family with a shelter pet,” he said.

The county is also offering a pet sterilization assistance program. Spay and neutering your pet helps us to lower the number of homeless animals in the county.

The East Valley Care Center is at 2630 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Mesa.
