Bill Johnson’s Big Apple will celebrate its 55th anniversary with a carnival Saturday, April 30, at its Mesa location.

One of Mesa’s oldest restaurants, the Western-themed eatery was founded by disc jockey Bill Johnson and his wife, Jean.

The carnival will include 55-cent barbecue sandwiches, karaoke, a bounce house and ice cream.

The event is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. at Bill Johnson’s, 950 E. Main St.
