Ashley Furniture HomeStore has started a program to provide children in need across Arizona a mattress set to sleep on.

Called the “A Hope to Dream” program, Ashley Furniture will donate $5 to the program for every mattress purchased at one of its Arizona locations. The program, which was founded in 2010, has led to the donation of more than 5,000 beds to children in need.

“Children are a vital part of a growing community. We believe by helping a child sleep well, they are poised to lead a healthier and more productive life,” says Todd Wanek, President & CEO of Ashley Furniture Industries in a press release “A child’s bed also provides a safe haven at night and most importantly, a place to dream.”

Community members can refer a child for consideration to receive a mattress set by completing a short essay explaining why the child should receive one of the mattresses. Applications will be judged on originality, need and expression of thought, and they can be picked up at a participating location or by emailing AHopeToDream@ashleyfurniture.com.

More information about the program is available by visiting www.ashleyfurniturehomestore.com/events/ahopetodream.html or by visiting a participating store.
