Mesa City Councilmember Dennis Kavanaugh was recently appointed to a two-year term as chairman of the Mesa Community College Commission on Excellence in Education by MCC president Dr. Shouan Pan. Kavanaugh, who represents the city’s District 3, has served on the commission for more than 10 years. Serving as a sounding board for MCC, the Commission on Excellence in Education seeks representation from business, industry, education and East Valley residents.

Kavanaugh ought to walk 300' to the Fiesta district and be a "sounding board" for urban decay.
Mesa needs leadership, not self-obsessed terms like "sounding board."
