Mesa police call it "Justice for the Girl Scouts."

Authorities say Wayne Dubrul is facing felony forgery charges after allegedly passing counterfeit $50 bills to various stores and people.

Police say on February 23, Dubrul targeted a group of Girl Scouts selling cookies in front of a business.

Officer said Dubrul approached the girls' table and bought one box of cookies for $4 and paid with a counterfeit $50 bill. He took his $46.00 in change and left the girls without their cookies and their money.

Detectives were able to track down Dubrul and tie him to all of the counterfeit money.

The suspect was booked for eight counts of forgery related to the bogus $50.00 bills.
