As swimming season approaches, a new pool is opening in Mesa. The Skyline Aquatics Center can host swim meets, events and recreational swimming with its 28 racing lanes, six warm up lanes and one-meter and three-meter diving boards. The pool also has a water slide, zero-depth entry, turf area and stadium shade seating that seats 1,200 spectators. The $8.4 million facility was funded by Mesa and the Mesa Unified School District.

Skyline, 845 S. Crismon Road, is open year-round for club teams and will open to the public May 28. Admission is $3.50 for adults, $1.75 for seniors and those under 17. For more information please visit:  http://mesaaz.gov/parksrec/aquatics.

A grand opening celebration was held March 28.
