Appliances, furniture, televisions and more can be found at the City of Mesa surplus store, which is open 8 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7041 E. Adobe.

The city will offer an after-Thanksgiving sale beginning Tuesday, with any item not already on sale marked down another 10 percent. Bicycles are 75 percent off through Dec. 20. Band instruments are marked 50 percent off. Desktop computers have been reduced by $20.

The city includes surplus items from city departments, unclaimed police evidence and asset forfeiture items. City items are also available on eBay and public surplus websites.

Cash, credit cards and checks are welcome. All sales are final with no warranties, refunds or guarantees.

Proceeds from the surplus sales and eBay sales benefit the City of Mesa General Fund. During the last fiscal year, sales generated $201,482.
