    I love this!

It reveals the utter stupidty and hypocrisy of our governor and the petty would-be tyrant Horne.

Funny how their view and understanding of Federal Law and its enforcement changes daily, depending on whether they're talking about MMJ or immigration.

    Can't have it both ways!

"...Horne said as long as the drug remains illegal under federal law, the state is powerless to authorize anything to the contrary..."

So what's the point of holding elections if the law can not be implemented?? Why even permit the elections of this issue to take place at all?? This undermines the power of the will of the people and take confidence away from the voting process. Then you wonder why people won't come out to vote; it's because we loose trust in the system. I seriously question the logic and reasoning behind Mr.Hornes relentless attack on Medical Marijuana. Does he prefer people get it from the street dealers and cartels?? He has the option to not prosecute like Ellen Rosenbaum from Oregon who's political campaign was in part founded the Medical marijuana movement which she supports. So it's his personal decision to interfere with the program, it's not his obligation. If this was a country who's laws are based on science and facts and not lobby agendas and propaganda we would be in so much better shape, shame it isn't the case.

All you can do is vote ALL Republican hypocritical office holders out when they come up for re-election.

Or, possibly, begin recall efforts if they aren't up for election soon.

The Governor and other officials were against MM and fought the initiative and refuse to admit they lost and have tried every possible delaying tactic they could come up with.

They go to court and lose and just go to court again and again.

The governor should have been personally sued by the people trying to open clinics for lost income due to her telling the licensing people not to issue licenses.

She HAD NO AUTHORITY TO DO THAT and the judge told her so.

The Governor is closely tied to the private prison people and they and the law enforcement people benefit from having marijuana illegal.

Dekookify the Legislature and vote Democratic.

Considering how bad the Republicans have been ... it can't get any worse.

Horne's an idiot. Jan's senile. The will of the people means nothing to these clowns.
Are there no sane people left in AZ government?

downtownresident - when we have members of our state legislature claiming we don't need environmental protections for uranium mining because "the earth has been here for 6,000 years and the uranium hasn't hurt anyone", asking for sane people to speak up is a day late and a dollar short.

Here is the proof (I wish this was a joke, but it's real):
    http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/heather/arizona-state-senator-sylvia-allen-r-says
Arizona state Senator Sylvia Allen (R) voices support for opening up uranium mining in the state. Sen Allen responds to statements by environmentalists by assuring them that the "Earth is 6,000 years old..." Twice.
