Want to know about the types of stem cells and hematopoietic stem cell transplants? Find out how umbilical cords can help the ill? Learn more when Chandler-Gilbert Community College hosts “Pediatric Blood & Marrow Transplant: State of the Art and Future of Stem Cell”  and Dr. Fred Goldman 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Performing Arts Center on the Pecos Campus, 2626 E. Pecos Road, Chandler.

Goldman is a professor of Pediatrics at the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Medicine — Children’s Hospital of Alabama, and the director of the Lowder Stem Cell Transplant Program.
