The Arizona Department of Health Services’ SunWise Program is accepting entries into its annual poster-drawing and video contests.

The poster deadline is April 27. Every entrant receives a certificate of recognition. The winner, winner’s teacher and families receive VIP tickets, tour and parking to the Arizona Diamondbacks’ “Be SunWise and Play SunSmart” celebratory baseball game June 5.

The deadline for the video contest is May 26. Middle school and high school students are invited to submit an original 2-minute sun safety video demonstrating the importance of being “SunWise.” There are two age categories — sixth through ninth grades, and 10th through 12th grades. Grand prize is $1,000 for each age category.

Details for both contests are online at azdhs.gov/phs/sunwise.
