This topic once again underscores the hypocrisy of Republicans. Typically Rs would oppose government-run databases, "big brother" disclosure of private details of your life. They were the ones who pushed for HIPPA privacy back in 1996.
But, now we're talking about "devil weed" and Rs are doing everything they can to continue the criminal status of "getting high."
It's just like Horne and Brewer suing the feds to make the feds enforce federal law criminalizing marijuana. Normally Rs would recite the phrase "states rights" a dozen times, pass a law in violation of federal legislation, and taunt the feds to test their own federal law (believing the federal legislation is unconstitutional). But, in this case, they're begging the feds to prove federal legislation *is* constitutional. Rs *want* federal supremacy and could care less about "states rights."
Ah Mr. Employer, I ahh ahh smoked pot today but I have a Medical Marijuana Card. You can't see it but I've just looked at it and everything is legal. "You'll just have to trust me on that." Think that'll work for an employer?
Vet, like any other medication, if it interferes with your work and your employer requires proof, you get a proverbial "note from the doctor." We don't make pharmacies report all your Ambien, Xanax and Benadryl prescriptions to the government so employers can look that information up at will.

It's going to be weird in schools when a teacher who is supposed to keep her students safe overlooks bullying or name calling because she smoked a joint before work and says to a parent or the principal, "Its all good"
I read this and almost choked on my Sprout's "fair-trade", "sustainable", "organic" ...coffee because..............I WAS LAUGHING SO HARD.
I hope that if there is a lawsuit (and there will be)...that Governor Jan Brewer takes it all the way to the Supreme Court....dragging her feet all the while. Yes, I want this listing to be on the front page of every local Arizona Newspaper and be on every one of our Liberal TV Channels from PBS to ABC, CBS, TURNER TV and all the Spanish Language TV Channels too.
I want the EVT and the Arizona Republic to have multiple day article....Columnists both pro and anti to put their two cents in.
Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer...Zakaria, Amanepour and the Gupta's....come on down to Arizona.

Ummm, since marijuana in Arizona is called " medical marijuana " wouldn't it fall under HIPPA regulations for privacy?
I suspect the state will get sued and lose because, to me, it seem they are violating the Federal HIPPA privacy laws.
Employers can't dial up Walgreens Pharmacy and demand to know what prescriptions I am taking -- why would / should medical marijuana be any different?
