Arizona's temporary health insurance program for children from low-income families is again accepting new applications for coverage.

Officials say the KidsCare 2 program it will consider all applications until an enrollment limit is reached.

The program was launched last spring and is to run through 2013. It had closed enrollments in September when it reached its funding limit for coverage of approximately 25,000 children.

KidsCare 2 is for children whose families make too much income to qualify for Medicaid but who cannot afford private health insurance.

The program is run by the state's Medicaid program, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System.
