The local Area Agency on Aging will offer community education training in Mesa next week on medication misuse among older adults. The free workshop will be 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 for professionals, volunteers, caregivers, and family members of those 55 and older. It will be in the program room at Mesa’s Red Mountain Library, 635 N. Power Road.
Jennifer Eldridge of Area Agency on Aging will help identify the types and symptoms of medication misuse in order to prevent its occurrence. Participants will learn, “the warning signs of medication misuse, ways to prevent potentially dangerous medication situations and gain community resources,” according to a release.
