Prostate On-Site Projects' mobile screening unit will be in Mesa from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 6 at the Mesa Main Library and March 7 at the Red Mountain Library, 635 N. Power Rd. Mesa.
As many as one in five men will get prostate cancer and it's the second leading cause of cancer death behind lung cancer. Men 40-years-old or older should consider the screening, or those 35 or older if there is a family history of prostate cancer.
Space is limited and reservations are required, please call (480) 964-3013 or (1-800) 828-6139. BlueCross/BlueShield, HealthNet, Humana and United Health Care are all accepted (specialist co-pay fees apply). For those without insurance, the screening is $72.
