Mosquito spraying scheduled for East Valley cities

Mosquito spraying will be conducted midnight Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek and Tempe. Spraying takes place when area traps capture a high number of mosquitoes or when those mosquitoes test positive for West Nile virus.

The area in Chandler is from Riggs Road to Hunt Highway and from Adora Boulevard to Val Vista Drive.

The area in Gilbert is from Pecos to Germann roads and from Val Vista Drive to Greenfield Road.

The area in Mesa is from Baseline to Guadalupe roads and from Hawes to Ellsworth roads.

The area in Queen Creek is within an area from Ocotillo to Chandler Heights roads and from Hawes to Ellsworth roads.

The first area in Tempe is from Southern Avenue to Baseline Road and from Kyrene Road to Priest Drive.

The second area in Tempe is from Elliot to Warner roads and from Kyrene to Rural roads.
