Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa is performing a research study involving a pacemaker/defibrillator which may be able to help alert congestive heart failure patients up to one week before they experience symptoms of heart failure.

Data captured by sensors in the device could help alert the patient and their doctor to changes in the heart that may lead to an emergency, enabling doctors to change medications or provide other treatment that could solve the problem well in advance.

For information on how to participate in the study, call (480) 854-5213.
