Gilbert Town Council candidates will participate in a forum at noon Wednesday at the Gilbert Community Center, 130 N. Oak St.

The debate is sponsored by the Gilbert Senior Center Site Council, and candidates will be asked questions specific to seniors' concerns, including social service funding, rasing more money in the current economy and plans for the senior center.

There will be no questions taken from the floor.

The town's general election is being held May 19, with Jenn Daniels, Vice Mayor Joan Krueger, Erin Scroggins and John Sentz competing for two seats. Early voting is under way at the Gilbert Town Clerk's office, 50 E. Civic Center Drive. It will continue until May 15. Early ballots may be mailed in up to that time or dropped off at the polls on Election Day.

For more information about the forum, call the community center at (480) 503-6290.
