Higley Unified School District and Rio Salado College have partnered to provide their “Premier College Partnership” early college program to students at Williams Field High School and Higley High School, and to community members.
The program provides a way for high school students to get a jump-start on their college education, and offers residents college classes close to home, according to a news release.
The classes are taught by Rio Salado faculty at Higley High, 4068 E. Pecos Road, and credits earned apply to both a high school diploma and college credit. Tuition assistance and payment plan options are offered. Classes begin Aug. 23.

I guess I'm old fashioned, but I think a High School should have to be "excelling" before they are allowed to offer college courses. And, if they loose the "excelling" status they loose the privilege to continue the college course curriculum.
