Western Skies Golf Club in Gilbert will host a free performance on Jan. 10 by a golfer renowned for his playing skills and his skills at playing around with a golf ball.

Between 4 and 8 p.m., 2013 Southwest Section PGA Player of the Year and Outback Golf Academy Director Craig Hocknull will showcase his skills as part of the Outback Golf Trick Shot Show. The show is interactive, and features Hocknull performing trick shots and telling jokes and stories of growing up in Australia.

The event also includes a bounce house, equipment demos, happy hour pricing at the club’s bar and grill and a live band that plays at 6 p.m. Some of the money raised from the sale of food and drinks go to support the Patriot Golf Academy that offers a golf program catered to active and retired service people.

Western Skies is located at 1245 E. Warner Road, and more information is available by visiting outbackgolfacademy.com.
