Gilbert’s Alex Naddour was named one of three alternates to the U.S. Olympic men’s gymnastics team Sunday. According to USA Youth Fitness Center, where Naddour trains with his coach and father, Mike, Naddour will continue training at a camp in Colorado Springs next week and in London, “should an injury necessitate him joining the five-man team.”
Naddour, 21, earned the highest score on pommel horse at the Visa Championships, earning him a spot at the Olympic Trials last week. He is one of three alternates to the five-member U.S. team.
