Police are investigating a break-in at the Apple Store at the SanTan Village shopping center in which two young men used large rocks to smash through a plate-glass door early Tuesday, causing $30,000 in damage and the loss of nearly $10,000 in stolen merchandise.

It all took place in 34 seconds, according to the time that elapsed on a surveillance video during the burglary.

The break-in triggered the alarm system at the 2218 E. Williams Road store at about 3 a.m. before police arrived and discovered the damage.
