The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce seeks items to use for a raffle and silent auction as part of an event to benefit the local Boys and Girls Club.

The items will be raffled and sold off during the Gift of Giving Holiday Event, which is scheduled for Dec. 5 at Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse. They will be collected as gift baskets — the chamber wants to collect more than 100 baskets for the event — and sold off during a Chinese Auction in which participants can bid on the baskets and other items for a 25 cents.

Donors will receive recognition in the program and verbally at the event, with donors providing items valued at $250 receiving a listing on the event’s website. People who donate $500 or more will have their logo printed on the event program.

Proceeds from the event will go to support the Gilbert Boys & Girls Club.

“We are so excited to be a part of this great event here in Gilbert,” said Lauren Seematter, branch executive of the Gilbert Boys & Girls Club. “We are so thankful to our Gilbert community for giving back to our youth. Every dollar earned goes towards a great cause of ensuring our youth’s success now and in their future.”

For more information, or to donate, contact Sarah Watts at sarah@gilbertchamber.com or by calling (480) 941-6322. A donation form is accessible online at gilbertaz.com/events within the event listing.
