Due to generous contributions from Gilbert Unified School District's Boulder Creek Elementary School community, Sunland Village Retirement Community, and the Gilbert Fire Department, teacher Tina Wenning and the local community were able to provide assistance to 91 children in 25 families during the holiday season.

Wenning collected and donated 90 outfits, 400 toys (including two bikes), household items, 1,500 pounds of food, and $650. The school-wide fundraising efforts included a canned food drive, angel tree, hot chocolate sales, Jingle Bell Rock raffle, garage sales, staff chili cook-off, cookie contest, and private donations. This is the 12th year the Boulder Creek Elementary community has come together for this holiday outreach.
