Why don't the gun enthusiasts demand laws that insist that gun owners with children at home keep their weapons locked up or away from the kids? Or perhaps they think that children should also be allowed to play with deadly weapons.

Why do hoplophobes say such ignorant things like Dr above. Responsible gun enthusiasts lock up their firearms and ensure safety at all times. Idiot gun owners do not.

So, the ten year old took their fathers gun to school and shot the 12 year old. And thier father is a cop from AJ.
So to both of you smart guys above, there are laws on the books in regards to how firearms are to be kept and stored when there are minors in the home. Now, will this AJ cop have charges filed on him? I doubt it. If this happened to anybody else, they would be in jail and CPS would take custody of the children.

Slabside: fancy word you used there. The problem is that when you can sell a weapon to any schmuck that walks in the door, how do you know (or do you care) who will be a responsible gun owner? Wannabee cowboys, like you, just love to walk around with the thing "hanging off your hip", just like the good old days in the wild west. The big difference is that in the old days, parents actually taught their children to use and respect weapons. Now, the kiddies get their lessons from violent video games and TV or the movies, where everyone justs "shoots 'em up". By the way, I'm NOT against any adult having a gun after a background check. I know that doesn't keep the nutjobs from obtaining guns, but it certainly helps to a degree.

@DrJ, "Wannabee cowboys, like you, just love to walk around with the thing "hanging off your hip", just like the good old days in the wild west."
You don't even know me DrJ. Making up such a rediculous position for someone you have never met really makes you out to be an idiot.
