A 20-year-old man threatened a Gilbert court clerk Friday, police say, and was later arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

Tyler Short threatened the clerk while he was at the Gilbert court office at 75 E. Civic Center Drive about noon Friday, Gilbert police Sgt. Mark Marino said. Marino would not disclose what Short said to the clerk but said that he threatened bodily harm.

Short left the offices following the threat, and a criminal apprehension team located him soon after, Marino said.

Marino said he was unsure whether charges in addition to disorderly conduct would be sought.
