If you haven't ever experienced a real steam train pulling into station...well, you are missing something pretty special.

While the 1912 Southern Pacific Engine No. 2355 old steam locomotive train is still parked inside Pioneer Park in Mesa for people to pay a visit.

While UP #844 is the most impressive steam locomotive still running, the collection of rolling stock at Chandler's Arizona Railroad Museum is the best. It's open to the public each Saturday and Sunday through the Fall, Winter and Spring. Go south on Arizona Avenue to Ryan, then turn east for a 1/4 mile.

I was at Ash in Tempe when it came by, it was great to get photos of 844 next to LRV 121, that would be Metro Light rail's 121.
