Gilbert launched a Twitter account, GilbertYourTown, on Tuesday to deliver information concerning town events and services.
Residents are able to get updates through the Twitter.com Web site or a variety of Web or cell phone applications. This is the second information service launched by the town in recent weeks, following the Oct. 19 debut of community alerts via the Nixle online service.
