This argument was filed with the Town of Gilbert for a publicity pamphlet to be mailed to voters in September.

The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce supports the Town of Gilbert’s request to bond street and highway improvements not to exceed the amount of $174,000,000.

This funding will accelerate the completion of many of the streets that are in the current Capital Improvement Projects but not planned to begin until after five years.

Traffic and street construction continues to rank as the number one concern of our residents and businesses, this bond authorization will accelerate many of the scalloped street improvements where roads currently transition from six lanes to two lanes and then back to six. The Chamber supports the authorization of these street bonds.
