Banner Health to offer cancer prevention seminars in Gilbert

Banner Health is offering free seminars throughout November and December to encourage cancer prevention.

On Nov. 13, radiation oncologist Terence Roberts will be onsite to discuss Prostate-Specific Antigen testing and ways to prevent prostate cancer, the most common form of cancer diagnosed in men. Oncologist Diljeet Singh will host a discussion on Dec. 11 about the newest tools and medicine used to reduce the risk of cancer.

Both seminars will be held in the Grand Canyon Conference Rooms at the Banner Gateway Medical Center, located at 1900 N. Higley Road Gilbert, from 6-7:30 p.m. Those interested in attending should call (602) 230-2273 to register.

A wellness education group for cancer survivors will meet on Dec. 12 to learn holiday recipe substitutes and find opportunities to exercise during the holiday season. Participants will meet from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Wellness Center, 2946 E. Banner Gateway Drive Gilbert.
