Children will love these summer events in Gilbert’s cool libraries.

Award-winning author Conrad Storad and his rattlesnake puppet, Big Momma, will read from his best-selling book and tell the story behind “Rattlesnake Rules” at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 24 at Perry Branch Library, 1965 E. Queen Creek Road.

And if that’s not wild enough for you, take the kids to Arizona wildlife on display 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 5 at the Southeast Regional Library 775 N. Greenfield Road. Naturalist and humorist “Wildman Phil” will present an interactive program highlighting the unique characteristics of desert wildlife. Free tickets will be distributed in the library lobby before the show. All ages welcome.
