Culinary program receives initial ACFEF certification The Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts programs at the East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa, AZ, received initial programmatic certification from the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation (ACFEF) Accrediting Commission’s Secondary Certification Subcommittee through 2017.

Riggs Elementary students make 4,000-plus meals for starving kids Riggs Elementary students took their classroom lessons to help children around the world. The kids volunteered their time at “Feed My Starving Children.” They prepared and packed 19 boxes of food which is more than 4000 meals for malnourished children. The meals will be shipped to nearly 70 countries around the world.
