In the old days, education news focused on school board meetings, a classroom feature here and there, and a couple of big investigations or projects a year in a printed newspaper tossed into your driveway.

Not anymore.

You’ve branched out – and so have we.

You’ll find the latest East Valley Education News on our website at eastvalleytribune.com/local/education. We have been re-designing this page to include not only articles about our East Valley schools, but interesting education stories from other sources too. Once a week, you’ll find a different school profiled on the page. And, you’ll see the latest EV Moms blog posts. While you’re there, look through Picture This, a gallery of education cartoons, photos, videos and other multimedia.

On Facebook? Then visit our page – facebook.com/eastvalleyednews. We post a lot of articles not only from the Tribune, but from newspapers, blogs, etc., from around the country. We post some fun stuff too, like education wordles and quotes about teaching. And we try to share info often on our page that our local schools, colleges and businesses have posted. So “like” us on Facebook – and we’ll like you back.

Is Twitter your thing? Then follow us @EVEdNews. We frequently re-tweet education articles from the East Valley, Arizona, and beyond.

How about Pinterest? This visual social media site has become super-popular among moms and teachers. You’ll find “pins” on boards there with useful information about parenting, classroom activities, great books to read, and more. Come visit us there – pinterest.com/evednews – and check out our boards: Our Schools, Mom Mania, Reading is Learning, and Those who can – Teach!

The East Valley Tribune is your newspaper and as such, we welcome articles that you write about an education issue, school event, or opinion. For more information about that, feel free to email Michelle Reese at mreese@evtrib.com or call her at (480) 898-6549. You can also contact CeCe Todd at ctodd@evtrib.com or (480) 898-6820.

Welcome back, East Valley, to another school year!
