The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona is asking community members to consider adding youth mentoring to their 2013 New Year’s resolutions.
There are about 400 children hoping to receive guidance and friendship this year. The program provides positive adult role models to children between ages 6 and 18 living in central Arizona. A high percentage of children in the program come from single-parent and low-income families.
Currently, the biggest need is for male mentors. To learn more about the program, visit www.bbbsaz.org or contact Jamar Jones, community relations specialist, at (602) 393-4132 or jjones@bbbsaz.org.
